Woa! Scary!
I have been telling my boss for about a year now that it is only a matter of time before the city hits our area. Boom! Last might it moved in. SCARY! I've already been robbed by gunpoint at my last night audit position. Twice! That's why I left that hotel. Not an experiance I'm ready to try again. I'm a little nervous, but thankfully my boss has implemented a few new policies. That certainly haelps to make me feel more secure!
Well, I really just needed somewhere to express my jitters. Thanks for reading.
What a weekend!
My scholarship entry.
Scholarship Essay, 2008
(what is your purpose in life?)I am here to push, pull and prod. How? By teaching. Making young adults stop, think and take action. This is my purpose.
(What do you love?)
Mysteries of the World.
The world is alive with mysteries of the past, present and future! Questions like: "Where did the ancient civilization of the Myans go?", "How do we stop the problem of Global Warming?", "Why, do we as a people, wait until the last possible second to attempt to solve a problem?", and "Why do we use a numbering system based on three's, when we have five fingers?".
As you may have guessed, my passion is mysteries. I am in a constant state of contemplation. I love to ponder over the where's, how's and why's of something, whether it is a good mystery novel, or a problem of today's society.
I believe that if we look hard enough, as a detective does when trying to solve a crime, we will find clues that when put together, will show us a pathway we might not have seen before.
I love sharing this with others and helping them to develop their own theories and ideas. Getting another person to think "outside the box" is as exhilarating to me as trying to solve a mystery. As I close in on my goal of teaching, I shall influence others and soon, I will rule the world! No, I'm obviously kidding I don't want to rule the world. I would like to have helped others to see the world as a wide-eyed child does, with new and wonderful mysteries, people and ideas around every bend in this journey we call life.
(What would your perfect job desription be?)
Wanted: The Perfect Job
Position seeker is searching for an employment opportunity that will allow her to utilize her love of science and history in a way that is both enjoyable for her and benifical to the earth. The fit will include long days with a group of peers who are equally excited about history and scientific theory. Together, they will pursue answers to some of the worlds oldest questions. They will develope, test and refine possible solutions to ancient mysteries.
The perfect job however would not require the seeker to focus soley on the past, but allow her to pop her head in from time to time into the presant, and use what she has learned in today's society. Questions to such answers as "How do we effectively, and cost efficantly get away from the use of fossil fuels?" is a favorite of this job seeker.
This job must also allow the position seeker to help others along their pathway. The most important is for the seeker to be in a position to make a differance in someone else's life. If you do not fufill these qualifications, you need not apply.
So, what do you think?
What do you like best about birthdays?
School Starts on May 20th!
One of the great things about the online college I am in, is I can take excellerated courses, so I can move at my own pace. I took an excellerated math class in college during my first year there and I loved that I could set my own pace!
I just had to share my excitment with someone, thanks for being that person!

Good Morning All ~ Welcome to my first entry!
First, thank you for reading my blog. =0)
Let me tell you a little about myself. My name is April, I am a 27yr old college student studying Social Sciences and Education. I'm working on my BS and hope to teach College soon.
I'm a practising Pagan. I have been practising for about 6 years. I have a spiritual sister Jojo, that has just started on her own journey of discovery down this pathway. Her lust for learning is an insparation to me.
I have two other sisters, Kathy and Cris. Both of them are important and special to me in their own way. Kathy has a wander-lust....she travels frequently and is difficult to reach. But when you do reach her, she is almost like a mirror, showing you your true self, whether or not you want to see it. Cris is the one with MS. She was just diagnosed in around Christmas of last year, and she has showm imeasurable strength. She tries not to let it get her down, and lives her life with her family as best she can.
I have just married the man of my dreams Mitch, this past April. Newly weds! Anyways, we have been together for almost three years and I can hardly believe it! We got married in Hawaii, the Island of Oahu, on a beach of course. =0) It was so beautiful. Once I figure out how to download pictures to this blog, I'll have some up.
So that's a little about me.... Thanks for reading and hope to see you again soon!
